Mutton Chump curry (Punjab Recipe)

2 tbsp ghee

1 bay leaf

3 onions cut into rings

1½ tbsp garlic and ginger paste

500g Mutton Chump

½ tsp chilli powder

¾ tsp garam Marsala

½ tsp turmeric

¾ tsp coriander

¾ tsp Cumin

2 large tomatoes chopped


Heat ghee in a large pan, add bay leaf and onions and fry untill light brown. Add garlic and ginger paste fry 1 min. Add Lamb and all the other ingredients except tomatoes and fry for 10 mins.

Add tomatoes and mix well, pour 180ml water in to pan and mix well. Cover and cook for 1 to 1 ½ hours or untill meat is tender.
