Chana Masala

Chana Masala my way.


400g chickpeas

Oil 2 tbsp

4 tomatoes chopped

2 onions diced

Ginger paste heaped tbsp


Make a blend of spices with the following, it's really up to you to add more of the ones you like and less of the ones you don't. Total should be 40g


Ground coriander

Chilli powder

Ground turmeric

Ground cumin

Black salt

Mango powder

Salt

Ground mint

Pepper

Nutmeg

Cinnamon

Ground mace

Ground black cardamom seeds


Fry onions for 10 mins, add ginger fry 1 min. Add tomatoes and chickpeas and mix. Add your spice mix and stir well then add 200ml water. Simmer for 5 mins. Add green chillies with tomatoes if you want it hot. 🌶️🌶️
